About - Established in 1982, Nietzsche's is where Ani DiFranco got her start and where Buffalo's up-and-coming folk and jam artists play for free beer. The bartenders can be a bit gruff, but that shouldn't stop you from tying one on. If you're not a drinker, there's always the music. Fans flock to Nietzsche's for the annual John Lennon and Frank Zappa tribute shows.
This venerable music hot spot features 13 bottled beers and a hearty selection of Irish beers on tap. Saturdays through Thursdays, 4pm to 8pm, is the "hour of repose", where pints of Guinness and Bass, and Labatt's bottles are discounted.
